Max HR 190! WTF!

Kathryn wherever you are girl - You better be running! ( Unless of course you are sick, in that case i shall forgive you) Welllllllllllllllllllllllll I am just now sitting here, wet - literally dripping with sweat after completing the week 2 - workout 1 of the C25K challenge!
How can that possibly be so hard , i have been doing week 1 over and over now for a good month or more, you would think i could handle an extra 30 seconds of running! I THINK I DIED, and I'm not ashamed to admit that really pushed me, i had my HR at 172 by the first run! I have a theory about that - I'm thinking generally i work out in the afternoon, and today it was cold and i hooked straight in, and i think that's why my HR managed to get so high - i will have to do this next time in the afternoon just to compare but that's my theory! I have been strugglin in the afternoon to keep my HR up usually hitting about 172 at my highest - Today my MAX was right up there at 190 ( in the last run) And well i didn't die, but i thought i was gonna... LOL.... and i didn't puke ( Just for those who read my blog on a regular basis)

OK OK so maybe I'm exaggerating how bad it was, cause it was hard and it did push me and i do feel very worked out - BUT I will have another bash at it, I will get better - I never pay much attention to the klms on the tready - them numbers don't mean much to me, its my calories and HR that matter to me - but today i noticed that 30 Min's, was only just under 3 k's... at my walking speed of 5 and running speed of 8.4 - Interesting, other stats for the wk2 were

30 Min's ---------- 500 Cal ( neat) ------------ MHR -190 ------ AHR - 161 ---------

So looking back on stats, i had my overall average above my normal and my max above too.
Even though we are different weights and heights, I'm hoping Kathryn might get a general idea of the calories she burns when doing this workout too - Its amazing really!
I'm having a shower and heading out for a relaxing day - my MK* team leader had a baby a couple weeks ago, so i am going to see her - i get to hold a newborn!!!! ( camera packed and ready) then I'm going to op shop and browse around - I'm not working out this afternoon, stuff that, but will be busy packing and sorting - can you believe its only 3.5 weeks till i move in with my man!! Exciting times...

JO JO JO - OHHHHH JOOOOOOOOOOO where are you girlie?! I'm missing you!!! Thanks for the link back to your flickr i love your photos! Come back to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Will be back again tonight no doubt!

* Yes yes im a Mary Kay girl! ( If you wanna buy this stuff - come to meeeee)

500 calories??!?? Haha, no wonder I feel tired now!

Way to go! I'm so proud of you Lish - you made it, and with great stats too! You run about the same distance as me I think (although I'm out doors, but the whole distance is about 4.5km and I'm just over 3/4 through when I stop) - so we should be able to work up to 5km together. Woot!

Lol, I read your post and remembered how hard it was the first time I did week 2 (I feel like I'm repeating kindergarten, starting again). I just read back through my archives - and yep, it was tough! Oooh, but the sense of elation and achievement is so worth it (not to mention those 500 cals!)

I'm sure Saturday's run will be heaps easier - just you wait!

We Did It! *high five!*

Looking forward to seeing the new born pics :)
