Marriage?
- Lasts nights topic of conversation with the wonderful Jimmy somehow turned to weddings and marriage - what we want, liked at other people so on and so forth - 3 hours later and our wedding is planned.. HA HA HA it was the funniest conversation, very informative, turns out its not only girls that want the big ol fancy wedding, something i didn't expect to come out of the mouth of my country lovin farmer! I think we have known from the minute we met that there is no one else for us - we are so meant to be together its just amazingAdvice please...
- One thing that has me thinking and I'm hoping that maybe someone who reads this can give me a little advice on was this - Obviously i have children, so its a given that both my son and daughter will be in my wedding, whenever that is - I always thought my girl would be a flower girl and my boy the page boy, always under the impression that the page boy carried the rings - following? --- anyways according to the convo had last night Jimmy wants his best man to carry the rings and is rather dead set on that - so the question i have for you is , how could i involve my son? Any suggestions very much appreciated ---And I'm a total idiot
- Did my workout today and did something bad - well, i think so anyways, now before i write this i don't know if it wasA. All the junk i ate today - and believe me i had a bad food day or
B. I pushed myself way too hard
I made myself literally sick - I did my usual workout which is basically the 5 Min's warm up and intervals of running/walking for 25 Min's and 5 Min's cool down - so before the cool down i decided to be a hero and see how fast i could run - I usually walk at about 6 and run at 8.6 sometimes 8.8 - so i sped the big bad baby up and went hell for leather at 14 for 40 seconds! WHOA you have no idea how fast that is, my fat little legs could barely keep up, but i was impressed that i could do it, i mean wow i could hardly walk a year ago without being out of breath and now i can RUN at 14 ! Jeepers, still not enough for me i wanted 1 minute, i wanted to run at that speed for 1 whole minute so i got my breath back and had another whack - 44 seconds and i was done - I could barely breathe and just felt ill - really sick, had a drink and i don't know it just didn't wanna go down and i was in the toilet quicker than you can say IDIOT.
Ok ok i know what your thinking and i have had time to think about it and process what happened and i don't feel good about it, still impressed i could run that fast but sheesh who wants to push your body to that extreme, it was pure crazyness that i will not be doing again in a hurry - so lesson learnt.... BUT i will try it again in a month, just one crack if i don't get it, try again in another month... but one day, i will run for 1 minute at 14. Stats today...
* 37 Min's ( minus a couple in the toilet)
* 520 Calories
* MAX HR- 184= 105%
* AVG HR- 147 =87%
Anyways - Till next time...

Hey Elisha, you silly chook, making yourself sick! Not good, hope you havent been watching the biggest loser!
Marriage advice, mmmm dont know..had a think about it though. Cannot remember who held my rings at the wedding. But here is my 2 cents for what it is worth. What about your son walk you down the aisle/give you away? He could even do this with your dad, one on either side, you know being the men in your life. Or maybe you could have Jimmy, kind of marry all of you, so this would mean giving your daughter maybe a ring or a peice of jewellery, and also your son, you know a cool necklace or something, when he gives you the ring, he can give the kids somehthing as well. And maybe add that into the vows. I dont know...but dont you just love wedding talk..oh if I could do it all again, i would elope! Love ya babe xo
I love wedding talk too! We had Dave's cousins as pageboy and flowergirl (they were 4 and 8 years old) - in the end they walked down holding hands because he got a bit scared and wanted to walk down with his sister, but when we were planning lots of people told us the pageboy usually carries mock rings (especially so they don't get lost/fall off) and the best man carries the real ones - or the pageboy carries the rings down and gives them to the best man.
That's a really nice idea Jo of including the kids in the vows or giving them something. I have a good friend whos parents just had a recommitment ceremony in a church with their three (18-28 year old) daughters involved as bridesmaids, and they gave each daughter a small diamond ring as part of the family recommitting to itself after some hard times. My friend wears it every day (on her right hand) and it's really special for her.
ps: I went to a bootcamp once when they said if you don't make yourself sick then you haven't reached your potential working out. Isn't that awful?! Needless to say, I only went once! Poor duck - pushing yourself so hard!
